Welcome Employers and Industry Evaluators: This demo reel and portfolio showcase sound design assets created and implemented during my Portfolio V course at Full Sail University. The projects below demonstrate my technical proficiency, creative asset creation, and interactive implementation workflows for animation, film, and video games.

Project 2: Tears of Steel (Sci-Fi Movie Clip) Concept: Cinematic robot VFX and linear asset creation. Sound design: Sculpted mechanical robot movements, servo whines, and heavy impacts. Editing: Edited micro-foley frame-by-frame inside Pro Tools for precise sync. Integration: Balanced wide dynamic range cinematic mixes on the iMac system.

Roger Rave's creative journey began as a musician, learning guitar and keyboard, and grew into a career in audio engineering, music production, multimedia, and web development. Roger Rave's passion for music naturally expanded into recording, producing, editing, and designing professional audio experiences.
Over the years, Roger Rave had the opportunity to collaborate with musicians, filmmakers, podcasters, artists, nonprofits, businesses, and creative organizations, helping bring their ideas to life through technology and artistic collaboration. Today, I combine professional audio production with visual design, website development, digital media, and creative problem-solving to support projects from concept to completion—whether producing a song, editing a podcast, creating multimedia content, or designing engaging digital experiences

Roger Rave is an audio electronics technician, musician, and recording engineer with extensive experience in professional audio systems, electronic repair, and music production.
His career includes manufacturing, final Assembly, testing and shipping professional audio equipment at Acoustic Control Corporation, where he worked on guitar and bass amplifiers, stage monitors, PA mixers, and sound reinforcement systems. This hands-on manufacturing experience provided a strong foundation in analog electronics, troubleshooting, quality control, and audio system design.
In addition to his technical background, Roger has decades of experience as a musician, recording engineer, and studio owner. He combines practical electronics knowledge with real-world recording and live sound experience to produce high-quality audio projects and provide dependable technical solutions.

Cosmic Launder Mat
This Pro Tools sound design session began with only the first line of dialogue and I used Soundly as the primary sound effects library. The project provided the dialogue and a list of required sound effects, giving me a strong foundation to build the complete audio experience.
As I developed the soundscape, I felt the scene needed more emotional depth, so I incorporated sympathetic background music to enhance the mood. I also added several comedic sound gags that complemented the animation and strengthened the humor without distracting from the story.
The video follows an alien caterpillar named Fred, who sneezes a whirlpool in an alien forest. My goal was to create an immersive and entertaining soundscape that supports both the whimsical environment and the comedic timing of the animation.
